Anne Davis combines acrylic painting with a subtraction method to create a contemporary look using patterns of lines combined with an overlay of painted colors.

Her prior editorial work has appeared in magazines and publications in Seattle, Washington and her  award winning floral and landscape pieces have exhibited at juried art festivals in the Bay Area. 

Through the use of color, sometimes vivid in her floral paintings and more subdued for landscapes, her scenes and subjects become alive and vibrant while the detailed line work brings an interesting complexity to the piece. The detail engraving work is challenging and takes patience, but the end results are always rewarding. All originals are done on clayboard and are beautifully framed in natural wood frames without a need for glass covering.

Originally from Idaho, Anne graduated with a degree in English Literature from Gonzaga University, Spokane, Washington before deciding to pursue an art career. She then achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington and a Master of Fine Arts from the Academy of Art University, 
San Francisco, California. Her prior artistic work includes experience in commercial and editorial illustration, computer arts, 3D modeling and animation, and graphic design.  Anne Davis has lived and worked in Sausalito since 1996.
